This image shows just how nice and clean the clouds are when you take a picture above a lake. Especially on a sunny day. The lakes in Poland are very clean meaning that swimming is always an option when you visit that place. The water is warm during the day and it becomes pleasure to be able to swim in there. Back here in England, the only places you can swim are swimming pools. Or you need to take a 3 hour trip to the seaside in which case you might not be able to swim regardless because of the weather.
During the preparation of camp fire we got given very large logs and some were stored in a huge warehouse which meant the wood got moisturized and cracks were slowly appearing on the logs. When looking at it from up close, the patterns that were present on the wood look rather interesting.
At the actual campfire, I was taking several pictures of the fire and eventually it came to this. The contrast between the burning red fire and the background was so strong, everything around turned blue due to saturation.
Fishing was always a big part of my summer life. I didn't catch anything substantial this year, but my uncle managed to catch a 1.7kg fish . It took about 5 minutes to pull it out of the water. We put it into 5 layers of plastic bags due to how much mucus it had on it. I'm not a fan of eating freshly cought fish so I never tried to taste what it's like.
The lake which we spent 3 nights at was very wast and surrounded by a forest. Most of my time being there, I was either fishing or trying to catch frogs, lizards and snakes. I'm a big fan of nature and I always envied reptiles and amphibians and for my tates, found them rather cute.
The water would drasticaly change color depending on how bright the sun was. It would constantly change from blue-ish grey to completely green. When the sun was extremely bright, you could even see fish swimming at the very bottom of the waters.
At one time, me and my uncle and his friend decided on going fishing at 3am in the morning. We took a car and drove to 'Bryzgiel' which is a small village near the city I lived in. There was also a beautiful lake nearby the road which was owned by my uncle's friend. This meant that we could go there without anyone else interfering with our joy of fishing.
As soon as the sun rose up, the whole atmosphere at the lake has changed. The whole redness of the sun has disappeared and now the waters turned blue along with the sky.
I lived in a very nice area. From my house, you could see a never ending forest which was less than a mile away from the door step. I often went out and examined the wildlife around the fields or deep within the forest. There was never a day when I didn't see some sort of wildlife animal just passing by.
This bettle was probably the scariest thing that I've seen during this holiday. A 5am long insect landing right beside you is not the most enjoyable experience. While taking a photo of it, all I thought of was running away as soon as I was going to take it. I didn't know of this insect would bite or if it was poisonous and I definetly didn't want to test that out on my own skin.
Along side the wildfile of Poland, there are many beautiful areas that just wait to be photographed. One of them was this little cave section. This is where I manged to catch a lizard and it was a pretty large one too so not taking a photo of both would have been a sin of an artist.
This particular lizard is called the 'Sand Lizard' and is one of the most common lizards in Europe. Although it might be common, catching it is a difficult task mainly because they never wander too far away from their nests so whenever someone approaches, they run as quickly as possible back to their nests. This gives you very little time to react and catch the lizard as it's moving away from you. It's especially hard to catch one when they appear in long grass. They can borrow very quickly and can slip through small cracks in the groun which just adds another layer of difficulty when catching them. Of course once I cought, I take a few pictures and release it back to the place I cought it at.
This picture shows yet another image of beautiful aesthetics of the forest.
In this area, for the first time this summer I have seen a snake. I was very keen to catch it and tried my best to do so, but this particular one was very quick and I didn' manage to catch up to it. Mainly because I slipped and rolled down the small hill and accidently cut my knee while dropping. I never got to see what snake species it was, but I get a feeling it might have been the Grass Snake.
While searching for new wildlife, I came across a hornet nest. Many of them were flying around the area and it became dangerous to walk around that particular place.
